1. Do you participate with my insurance provider?

Our doctors participate with many of the insurance plans. We will perform a complimentary insurance check upon your arrival to answer any cost related questions prior treatment.

2. Do I need a referral to become a patient?

Pittsford Performance Care is considered a portal of entry facility not requiring referral from your PCP or orthopedic specialist.

3. What type of injuries do you care for?

We provide musculo-skeletal care and functional neurologic care. For a comprehensive list, please refer musculoskeletal conditions and neurological conditions under the ‘Patient Tab’ on the website. If you still have questions, please contact us via email or phone to discuss your specific case.

5. Do you have a provider network delivering similar treatment?

We have a growing network of trained doctors providing expertise for both the neurological and musculo-skeletal care needs. Please see the ‘Performance Care Clinic Affiliates’ under the ‘Development’ tab or contact our administrator for a referral.

6. Is maintenance treatment a common recommendation?

No. We are considered an acute care facility.

7. What should I expect on my first visit?

Please expect your first visit to be a thorough consultation, physical and neurological examination, with treatment following if appropriate. Your first visit will last approximately 1 hour. It is advised for you to eat a hearty breakfast and lunch (if appointment follows) prior to your first visit.

If your first visit is to have a neurological condition/ symptom evaluated, your examination will be 1 hour with finidings/ plan/ and prognosis discussed if appropriate. Please consider being driven as examination often times can create fatigue.

8. What should I wear on my first visit?

Please wear athletic style clothing as rehabilitative treatment may be performed on your first visit.

9. Do you have access to my previous films/ MRI?

Our provider portal permits us to view films taken at Borg & Ide Imaging. Films taken at other locations require you request/ and bring them to your first appointment. For your convenience, we can order them, but will need a signed copy of the Medical Release Form (pdf).

10. Do you treat out of town patients?

It is common to have out of town patients get evaluated and receive treatment in a truncated timeline. If you are at out of town patient, please advise our administrator when contacting the office. Scheduling accommodations in addition to preparatory candidacy is important to establish.
